[engl] Featuring the original line-up, this classic follow-up to "The Evil Powers of Rock-n-Roll" was originally released in 2003. Chock full of HITS, the recording has received a mastering update for modern pressing equipment and is ready to ROCK YOUR ASS! So grab a drink and chug-a-lug, have some sex and take some drugs!

    SUSPECT PARTS

You Know I Can´t Say No

„You know I can’t say no“…

    SWEATSHOP BOYS

    two men

[engl] Hailing from Tel Aviv, these 4 Israeli Power-Punk-Poppers are finally back with their sophomore album after the great debut in 2013. „Two Men“ comes with twelve marvelous Punk Rock / Power Pop hymns in the vein of Sonic Avenues, Steve Adamyk Band and Radioactivity so expect a lot of speed, melody and background choirs. The Sweatshop Boys really do excel in making you happy through a record – try to stay mad at the world/yourself/your boss while listening to this album…you won’t succeed. It’s like MDMA without the serotonin hangover.

    SWEET KNIVES

    Spritzerita

[engl] From the ashes of Lost Sounds was born Sweet Knives. Originally this project was formed to gather the members of Lost Sounds that remained after Jay Reatard passed away, playing the songs from that band that were not Jay's songs. In place of Jay was Jon Grissom who played in a band named The Black and Whites (who both Jay released on Shattered as well and a few other labels worked with including FDH). After a while Sweet Knives began to write and record new songs and saw releases on both Big Neck and Red Lounge. We are excited that Sweet Knives have a new full length that we will be releasing along with Fdh Records (usa). This LP will be limited to 300 copies.

    SWEET SUBURBIA

    Paranoia Day By Day

Lim. Auf 114 Exemplare. 54 in Magenta, 60 in Schwarz. Hier ist Einfachheit die Devise, jedoch mit gezieltem Solo-Einsatz."

    T.S. WARSPITE

    Stop the Rot

[engl] Progression was meant to be seen as a remedy rather than a symptom of sickness - the year is 2022 and all that’s left is the idea that things cannot possibly get worse. Stop the Rot is where the line is drawn. An attention economy of constant surveillance, mounts of data and the desire for perpetual war amongst everyone has meant there might not be anywhere else left to go at the point the absurdity of modern life becomes apparent. T.S. Warspite channel their message through a unique musical recipe that answers the question no one asked: What if Bad Religion grew up in Manchester in the 2000s? Made up of some long standing and productive members of the local scene, this sounds like friendship and experience, and some refreshing as fuck hardcore. Singer Marco Abbatiello weaves expertly through scenes of pulp reality where everything is fleeting and only some things stick. What's left is a farcical montage of things that have rushed past you with no real sense of direction. Personally and politically, it's all the same wretched soup of societal collapse and the rise of the technocracies. Do yourself a favour and play this through your Tesla microchip and light your Molotov.

    TACKS

    s/t

[engl] The Tacks‘ self-titled album immediately shines with the band‘s inherent wonderful sound of melancholic joy in darkness in general. The mix of goth, dark wave, post punk and the best of 80s college radio can confidently be subsumed under Dark Punk - if you need something like pigeonholes for it. Glassy guitars, an enchanting voice, bubbling basses and driving melodies to a catchy beat - that‘s The Tacks from Christchurch, NZ.

    Fill De La Merda

[engl] “Fill De La Merda” is the debut of TÀRREGA 91’. Hailing from Tàrrega, a small town in Lleida, the band celebrates the antisocial riots that nearly burnt down the Town Hall in 1991 and ended with the arrest of 86 youths. Four tracks of radical punk that fill the void between Demo era HHH, MG15 Derecho a la Vida and ARROGANTA AGITATORER EP. The band regurgitate the sound of golden era Worldwide Hardcore Punk explosion, in the post DISCHARGE EPs days, but bring it up to date for the current depressing world. Angry, nasty anarchist tunes which could fit right in on Welcome to 1984, P.E.A.C.E. or any of the Attack Punk compilations.

    TECHNYCOLOR

    TERRIBLE FEELINGS

    Blank Heads

[engl] TERRIBLE FEELINGS are four twenty-somethings from Sweden: Manuela sings, Anton plays guitar and sings, Willy plays bass and Andy plays drums. Together they play absolutely fantastic black angst-ridden power-pop and this is their 3rd - EP ( The 4 - songs from the demo in a "new outfit" aka new recorded and mixed etc. ! ) Members of the TERRIBLE FEELINGS play/have played in various other bands and projects, some very cool, some not even good. The hometown of the TERRIBLE FEELINGS is Malmö, a world-famous city for cool Punkrock- and Hardcore-bands like FY FAN, SKITKIDS, HERÄTYS, HÅRDA TIDER, SISTA SEKUNDEN (Andy plays the guitar), DIPPER and SLÖA KNIVAR. The band TERRIBLE FEELINGS formed in the fall of 2009, and their basic impetus was to do something that was thoroughly thought through and set them apart from other punk bands in their town. The band once described their sound as »sorta DISCHARGE meets LOST SOUNDS mixed with surf-guitars and 80ies Swedish punkrock. Or something. It's very melodic.« Rob Seaton from Canada voted them »AMAZING!!!« when his band STATUES shared stage with them in Malmö. Guess what. .. he’s right!

    TERRIBLE FEELINGS

    Tremors

[engl] Terrible Feelings – Manuela, Anton, and Andy – from Malmö, Sweden have existed since 2009. Like so many others before them, the band sprung out of late parties, drunken philosophical discussions, punk rock, power pop, and friendship. To date, the band has released four 7”s and one full length album. They’ve embarked on several full European tours and two US tours (one on each coast), and have played such far and wide locations as Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin, to almost every squat in Germany. They’ve shared stages with bands such as The Raveonettes, Imperial State Electric, Fucked Up, Jeff the Brotherhood, White Lung, and The Babies; and were handpicked by none other than Refused as support in both Europe and Sweden on their final tour. Musically Terrible Feelings has been described as proto punk, dark power pop and gloomy surf, with a tint of both country and 70s hard rock. All descriptions are correct. It’s rock 'n' roll. April 2015 will see the dawn of “Tremors”, the band’s second full length. Recorded by Joakim from MF/MB/, mastered by Linus from Element (GOAT, etc), and with stunning artwork by Robert Hurula. Released by Sabotage Records in Europe and Deranged Records in North America. The band has managed to plow through 4 bass players and are currently employing their 5th, joining them on their European tour in April 2015 supporting Modern Life Is War. Plans for US tours are in the gears. They even bought a synthesiser to play all the organ:y parts live. The band sounds better than ever and is ready for their second coming. Are you?!

THE ASTRONAUTS

    Peter Pan Hits the Suburbs

[engl] Reissue of this long lost masterpice from 1981 originally released by Bulge / Genius records. The Astronauts were (and are, after close to 30 years and a history of lineup shifts only bested by The Fall) the definitive psych-punk ensemble, though even that title doesn't do 'em justice. Their sound culminates the post '77 punk dabblings of head forbears Twink (his 'Do it 77' single and The Rings' 'I wanna be free' platter), Nik Turner (the outstanding Inner City Unit and the 'punkier' late 70's bits of Hawkwind) and Daevid Allen's planet Gong (with fellow acid-punkers Here and Now) all woven in with an earlier Robert Wyatt / mellow candle-y psych folk vibe... While not sounding like any of those things at all. Get it? The album's range is gigantic: from dissonant punk a la Fall ('Everything stops for baby'), to epic progressive folk ('Protest song', 'Baby sings folk songs'), ditties ('Sod us'), hard-rock ('The Traveller'), pop ('How green was my valley'), garage / surf ('Still Talking'), industrial ('How long is a piece of string'), and set to arrangements that employ synths, flute, saxophone, and strays into progressive or even free-form / psychedelic sections. The icing on the cake is the mature statement of the lyrics, a cynical and bitter exploration of the lives of simple men, miles away from the generic horror / punk overtones that permeated most of alternative albums at the time.

    THE FRITZ

[engl] Less Devo-lved than some of their other projects, The Fritz nonetheless deliver the goods you’ll wanna hear: lo-fi ragers, garage schlock, hi-speed songs that barely break the minute mark before they collapse under the weight of the spittle that’s gathered in the corners of their frothing mouths. This is the manic energy of dudes that are too smart or too dumb or both, and it’ll make you wanna head to Indiana immediately so you can scream at ‘em to play and play and play until you or they can take no more. The Damned dancing on a circular saw? Booji Boys writing hoax hostage notes to their own parents? The contents of your own rotten soul, drunk and pissed-off and hilarious and brilliant at 45rpm? The Fritz may remind you of all these things. Mostly, they are likely to remind you of why you fell in love with railing against the world in the first place, and they’ll shred your speakers while they do so. Now let’s go spraypaint their name on the town hall before the cops come.

    THE HELL

    s/t

[engl] Ready for the most frantic’n’furious 13 minutes you’ll hear all year? Good job - The Hell hail from Norfolk County, Cleveland, and their self-titled debut album is a teeth-rattlingly excellent slab of hardcore punk; probably the best since… ooh, I dunno. Bootlicker? Slant? Judy & The Jerks? Chain Whip? Like all of those records, it’s a trip back to the glory days of hardcore - arguably several periods that could fit under that term - and it’s relentlessly, almost heroically great. Ten songs fly by before you’ve even had the chance to fully process anything beyond a general sensation best summed up with the word/sound/guttural exhalation ‘WHOAAAA’. The best bit? Each and every one of them totally fucking rips. You’ll hear flashes of everything you love etched into these grooves: the raucous chaos of the Kings of Punk themselves, Poison Idea; the SoCal brattiness and garagey schlock of TSOL, Angry Samoans and/or Circle Jerks when they were all getting started; the speed, breakdowns and temper tantrums of NYHC before all that heavy metal stuff got involved… But of course you didn’t come here for a catalogue of soundalikes, you came here to get your ears melting and your synapses pulsating til they’re spinning like an angle grinder against the inside of your skull. Right? Well, that’s why I’m here anyway. And lemme tell ya, this delivers on that front: The Hell are their own beast, un-peg-down-able by mere reference points and speculation as to possible influences. Let’s just agree that they’ve absorbed all of it and made a sound that’s recognisable but wholly their own. Which is to say: you’ll dig it. You want context? Hell, I’ll give ya context. The Hell feature ex-members of former Lumpy faves Cruelster, Sorry State nihilists Woodstock 99 and D-beat aggro types Hysteria, among others. Maybe that list gives you a firmer picture of where they’re coming from; maybe you read it and nodded politely, making furious mental notes to check ‘em all out when you get five minutes (and you really, really should). But let’s face it - in the here and now, all this detail is ephemera. What matters is this record. Don’t make me type out a hackneyed quip about the devil having all the best tunes (gahhh, too late), or the road to The Hell being paved with good intentions (booooooo). Just do what’s only right and proper in the circumstances, and get the fuck involved. This ludicrously short and effortlessly brilliant record demands it.
