A product of New Orleans, Sam learned his craft from some of the greatest jazz musicians including Satchmo himself. He joined up with Louis Prima in 1954 and moved to Las Vegas. Louis Prima with Sam Butera and The Witnesses made the lounge scene come alive in a way that no one has ever seen.
