[engl] Totem Skin's shivering melodies were created in the deep forests in the outskirts of Borlänge, Sweden; conducted by 6 individuals who poured every drop of passion they could harvest from the bottom of their hearts. The band saw its dawn in the fall/winter of 2012 as a three piece, which produced and recorded two EP’s themselves while adding members as recording went along. The full line-up was completed in March 2013, allowing the band to further expand on their musical horizons.

[engl] Official Repress of the first TRAGEDY Album on Skuld Releases, this time in the original package of the US Pressing (Tragedy Records) - From the opening acoustic intro to the last dark, thrashed out note this is one seriously intense album. The obvious comparisons His Hero Is Gone and From Ashes Rise are there for sure but to me this has a bit more of a straight up hardcore feel to it. That said though, this has some excellent heavy pounding drum beats happening and some changes in pace, pitch and mood that are so tight and sudden they scream for your attention. The harsh throaty vocals belt out lyrics that are written as single block paragraphs dealing with overtly sociopolitical issues all looked at from a less than positive point of view. This record is very heavy, very angry and although you will probably like it, it will not make you happy!

[engl] Official Repress of the second TRAGEDY Album on Skuld Releases, this time in the original package of the US Pressing (Tragedy Records) - This is the sound of impending doom! The songs are epic, melodic, powerful and crushing - all at once!! Tragedy is fast and extremely heavy hardcore with melancholic melodies and pissed off as fuck vocals. I would say that this record is even better than their first one, even when I thought that this is not possible. You can taste the athmosphere of the songs, while the music crawls under your skin - awesome!

[engl] God damn, I can't describe how great this DVD is. It's real simple- you're a grind fan: get this. I mean how many grind compilation DVDs are there? Not many, and certainly not many as well-done as this. This DVD documents the festival of the same name held last summer in Germany set up by the consistently excellent Power it Up label. Two to five songs each from 13 bands altogether, mostly from the German scene (CYNESS, AUTORITAR, BIZARRE X, SKRUPEL, NEURON, ENTRAILS MASSACRE, SANITYS DAWN, etc), but also a few international guests like Holland's F.U.B.A.R. and the show's obvious highlights- BIRDFLESH and BATHTUB SHITTER. For anyone even remotely interested, this is a great way to experience these bands whom most of us (in the States anyway) will never get to see. Virtually every band delivers a charged energetic performance, and it's great to see the personality of each band coming through. Plus the recording quality is very professional- both the audio and the visuals are crystal clear. Can't recommend this enough. (EL) Maximum Rocknroll
