    Warum dieses Juwel damals (1998) nicht auch wieder auf Dischord, sondern dem Schwesterlabel Slowdime (natürlich auch nur Premium Releases!) erschien wird wohl ein ewiges Rätsel bleiben, denn der Zweitling der Band um Fred Erskine hat das Zeug zum kleinen Klassiker. Neben dem klassischen Früh-90er-Dischord-Sound, also dem sirrenden, laut-wuchtigen Post-Hardcore, den auch Bands wie Unwound gepflegt haben, erweiterten Hoover hier - vergleichbar angesprochenen Unwound - ihren Sound doch sehr, teils Richtung Dub, teils Noiserock, alles in allem aber sehr kompakt und groovig (man verzeihe dieses schlimm klingende Attribut). Die Hälfte der Songs kratzt an der 7-Minuten-Marke, die Rhythmik und Dichte der Songs sind ihr Markenzeichen, und machen Hoover nach wie vor zu einer relevanten Referenz.
