    TRAUMAHELIKOPTER

    Look The Other Way

[engl] With a mutual love for rock ‘n’ roll music and a destructive perspective on daily life, it didn’t take long before Mark Lada and Daan van Dalen became BFF’s. After multiple bad break-ups, college debts and shitty call center jobs, the two took residence in an old warehouse building to write songs. Preferably during full moon. In the words of Maximum Rock ‘n Roll: “Fucking great.” In the words of Mark and Daan: “Fucking great.” After a while, the guys hooked up with Professional Againster Roel van Merlot, who turned out to be the ultimate addition to transform the band into an iconic trinity, based around drums, electric guitar and electric guitar. National newspapers concluded that “traumahelikopter has found the essence of rock ‘n’ roll.” Their record collections represent the entire rock ‘n’ roll history, covering obscure country, blues, R&B, beat, punk, wave, grunge, contemporary garage and whatnot. These guys know what’s up. With a devil-may-care-attitude the band played everywhere, and recorded their debut album in just one week. “This record is about pure hedonism, punk and broken teen spirits,” says Mark Lada. “And it’s the best stuff we recorded so far.” Their last full lenght has been released on LP and CD by Excelsior Recordings and on LP and cassette by Burger Records. The recordings on this classic two song 45 are a bit rougher, more garage punk than the “normal” recordings. The difference is more than obvious if you listen to the song “No Hope” which is featured on the normal album and here on the B-Side. Its not unlike a radio friendly mix compared to the wild in-your-face interpretation of it on a punk rock show. Better get ready. Everything they say is true.
