[engl] Geneva's two-headed beast gives birth to a debut album on vinyl. Disciples of the DAF school (machine, vocals, drums) and appreciated for their incandescent live performances, the duo Bound By Endogamy have signed an opus revealing a wide range of references. These include ebm, synth-punk, minimal wave, electro-funk and power electronics. This artful gloubi-boulga is digested, processed and recomposed with a raw, relentless minimalist approach. Like so many bad dreams, the eight tracks follow one another in a sinister, psychotic climate, shrouded in sonic violence and nihilistic poetic surrealism. The whole album is built on the original rhythms of the CR-78, the legendary wooden drum machine produced by Roland in the late 70s. The analog synth instrumental tracks are mostly haunted by the voice of Kleio Thomaïdes, whose intensity is one of the highlights of the record ; the amplitude of her vocal range extends from the susurrations of a stewardess on Xanax to the guttural borborygms of a demonic child devoted to exorcism. The vinyl is published by a coalition of three labels. Les Disques Mauvais Garçons, affiliated with the Born Bad store in Paris. Màgia Roja, the Barcelona-based collective label of Dame Area. And Les Disques Bongo Joe from Geneva. The unprecedented association of these three labels with singular and demanding artistic lines should be enough to arouse the curiosity of even the most impassive music connoisseur.

[engl] Geneva-based duo Bound By Endogamy delivers a heavy blend of rave, synth-punk, and industrial music. Shlomo Balexert and Kleio Thomaïdes are both prominent figures in the local squat and punk scene, having been involved in numerous projects over the past decade. Following several cassette releases and a remarkable debut 7'' on Lux Records, the band presents a self-titled album that combines raw, growling basslines, crisp analog rhythms, and passionate vocals ranging from breathy to fiercely cutting. On stage, the project consists of drums, a sampler, and vocals. Shlomo handles the drums alongside sharp synthesizers, while Kleio delivers powerful vocals reminiscent of a professional boxer. Expect a fusion of DAF and Kleenex with a hardcore edge.

[engl] Under the pavement of frozen metropolises, strange processions parade. They bring together in narrow caverns of alcohol and smoke those who have come to thank electricity. Three operators respond to them, one controls the primitive mathematical oscillations of his machines, the other chants so that the frightened God holds back his lightning, so that the hungry people spared below kiss his feet. The last, a human quartz holds the metronome of necromantic hypnosis and completes the ritual of submission. They create the speleological storm, the troglodyte fury. Making the dead move isn't easy unless it's the only job you know.

[engl] And so it started with an astonishing conjuction of circumstances, a lockdown, an unspeakable passion for the « Inspektor Derrick » mixed with a long and precious love for the Korg MS10. The streets were empty and the page was still blank for Jonathan Lieffroy, overactive self-taught musician from France. He who had always played with his mates in bands such Last Night, Master Master Wait or Infecticide whas now facing his own self, his own desires, and on his own confession this thought was pretty appealing. The lack of time due to the velocity of modern life rarely allow this kind of opportunity, this lockdown was a blessing in disguise and after all, he had nothing to lose. An imaginary OST from a curious german TV program from the 70’s came out from his imagination. 10 instrumental songs of dark disco fulfilled with freakish synthetic noises and evocative beats from the last century. But it would have been too easy to stop there, life tooks up its course again and this weird musical object took life as Tempomat, a three piece live band.
