[engl] The Trooper EP was released inbetween the albums “North From Here” and “Amok” . It’s truly a transition ep with some old, recent and new tracks at the time of it’s release. The “Desert By Night” track already giving a taste of things to come. We decided to add the rare tracks “The glow of 1000 suns” and “Amok Run” that were recorded shortly after “North From Here” as bonus tracks. These songs obviously showcase a similar extreme style and a glimpse into what could have been an entirely different follow-up album. “The Trooper” is an essential ep in Sentenced’s discography, mainly because it shows a band still in doubt about what the next step should be, eventually resulting in a more mature sound on “Amok” which paved the way for the rest of their musical carreer.
