Afterglow
[engl] LOINS is a three-piece noise-rock-post-punk-whatever band from Helsinki, Finland. While still a relatively new band with only one self-titled EP under their belt, rest assured, the members are already pros and have been doing this for 20+ years in various bands (including the fantastic Baxter Stockman). While the first release was more of an introduction to things to come, on AFTERGLOW the band is really finding its true identity. The overall tone may feel bleak at first, but there is much more hope underneath than might catch the ear at first listen. It might sound complex, but it is really just plain rock and roll for shits and giggles. Complexity comes easy, darkness is natural, and it takes an effort to ignore it. So, chin up, don’t overthink it, and enjoy this blast from LOINS. For fans of NoMeansNo, Baxter Stockman, and the deep dish Chicago style Albini flavored Jesus Lizard /Touch & Go school of rock.- Format
