[engl] Yes, this is the legendary "green tape" of one of the first austrian punk bands DEAD NITTELS. Triggered by their gig with the UK SUBS on September 26, 1982 in Ampermoching / Dachau / Germany at the "Gasthaus zur Post", the DEAD NITTELS booked some studio time to lay down no less than 16 tracks in only three days, on a four track recorder - but the only used two of them - one track for the instruments and one for the vocals, they bought the cheapest tapes available -which happened to be ungly green, and dubbed 300 copies with the studio tracks plus seven live tracks from their UK SUBS show. Good luck if you want to track down one of the tapes... FOr all others, here's the remastered greatness of this early austrian punk album!

[engl] We are always excited about our new releases but this one is pretty pretty special. Oh-my-god-I- cannot-believe-it special. One of our all-time favorite bands is releasing a record on our label. Boom! Early in the 90ties as I dived into our little punkrock microcosm I found their ZU?CKER album and I immediately knew that this is a special band for me, too sugary for the punks, too rocknroll for the poppunks haha, to weird for the now emerging grunge scene, but still, my little pocketband I told everyone about. And with Glitterhouse Germany running the Sub Pop Europe business, all of their records were available and not expensive. I never saw them live, although I had tickets to their show in Innsbruck, Austria, when they were touring with Pearl Jam, but as fate would have it, their van broke down the day before in Milano, Italy. Goddamnit! “Trouser Press” once said the FASTBACKS were “always good but never trendy”, now THAT sounds like a perfect fit to Bachelor Records. This live show from 1986 (!!!) captures HOW GOOD they were, how fun their shows must have been and how much fun they had on stage. After Kurt Bloch himself remastered this show for a CD release, we thought this has to be pressed on vinyl of course too! And here you have this whole show (with the exception of the first two songs, the CD version has the audience recording of it, but it is not on the LP, which features the whole multitrack recordings)

[engl] THE FEELERS are back with this great 7", spazzed out "Killed by Death" Punk, snotty vox & hectic songs, this came out for their 2007 Euro Tour with the CLOROX GIRLS. Right after the tour THE FEELERS disbanded but from time to time they are still playing shows.

[engl] Still sad because THE FEELERS stopped playing about two years ago? Well, here’s a serious contender, the GUT REACTIONS from Milwaukee, Wisconsin! This three songs will hit you like a derailed steam loco, so damaged and spectacular, straight but still out of control. Just like THE MISTREATERS. [engl] This four-piece punk dynamo from Rhode Island, is everything you want in a punk band: brutal, unrefined, and absolutely thrashing. They are exactly how you’d expect them to be offstage; upbeat, hilarious, New England punks who’d like nothing more than to goof off and make music with their friends. However that impression partially collapses when they mount the stage, strap into their instruments, and reveal their sludge-coated surf riffs and drums that sound both wildly anarchic and assertively tight.

[engl] Rising like the phoenix from the ashes of the first version of the band; The Haskels served up heavy doses of three minute, adrenaline-fueled hard punk pop, as evidenced on the highly sought after, Killed by Death bootlegged, “Taking the City by Storm” EP released in 1981 on their own Milwaukee Hits label. Now the full story of the band can be heard, seen, and told. As the decade turned from the rust belt 70’s to the Reagan-era 80’s, the original Haskels (see their self-titled LP released last year on Splunge) split into two factions, with the local punk/new wave/post-punk scene moving to the gritty Starship club in downtown Milwaukee. The Haskels were instrumental in getting bands to play the venue, including the Oil Tasters, Plasticland, Ama-Dots, Shivvers, Die Kreuzen and a burgeoning Violent Femmes. The version of the Haskels represented here initially included Presley Haskel and Gerard LaValliere, fresh from the first line up of the band; joined by the crack rhythm section of Bobby Mitchell and Vodie Rhinehardt. Later tracks, including the EP were recorded by the Presley/Bobby/Vodie trio. In either case, the material is a match made in punk pop heaven; coupling Presley’s knife-sharp songwriting sensibilities with a tight unit of A-Team musicians driving the music forward. “Taking the City by Storm” includes 14 tracks of rare and never before released material from the Splunge Archives. The release is comprised of demos, live tracks and the entire, highly coveted “Taking the City by Storm” EP, remastered for the first time. Co-released with our pals at Bachelor Records, we’re sure you’ll dig hearing these long-lost gems.

[engl] The Humms were formed in March of 2008 by Zeke Sayer with friend Tyler Glenn in Hartwell, GA. They recorded the first songs in Zeke's studio which was (at the time) housed in a 1950's mobile home using an extension cord for power and was self-proclaimed to be haunted by the previous owner of the property who died right outside the door. Two months later in May they added a drummer, John Bleech. They practiced in Zeke's living room for five months, often playing for whoever happened to be around the house during parties on the weekends. In October, they played their first official show at Tasty World in Athens, GA. By February of 2009, Zeke obtained a van from the town's local Funeral Home which lead to such projects as “Humms on the Run” where the band drove to 12+ locations in one afternoon and by using power from the van's cigarette lighter, they played one song at each location. No one except by-standers and the band themselves actually saw the “shows” as all the locations were desolate dusty roads, abandoned houses and industrial plants. The entire event was filmed but has not been released. The band began touring during this time but only on the weekends due to John and Tyler still being in high school. They would drive over 1200 miles in a day to play one show and then often head straight back right after words. between touring, the band managed to record an albums worth of material that was never released, although four of those tracks came out on the band's debut EP “Are You Dead?” that was released in London in June 2009 thanks to Oddbox Records. In the same month, the band relocated to Athens, GA and gained a slim but sturdy following from playing the local clubs like Caledonia Lounge and the 40 Watt. In November directly after a show, Tyler and John left the band due to undisclosed reasons. Sayer moved back to his home studio in Shoal Creek, GA and began work on the first Humms record intitled “Lemonland”. After 5 months of work on the debut, the Humms saw a live format once again thanks to Kentucky native Jessica Miller on Bass Guitar and West Coast drummer “Ziggy Zag” of the band PIPSQUEAK (they have a 7" out on Bachelor).

[engl] Indian Wars is a 4-piece garage rock group from Vancouver, BC. The band is made up of two brothers (John and Dave) and their long time friends (Fraser and Brad). They started playing tunes three years ago in Dave and John's Grandma's garage with their grandma occasionally accompanying on various instruments (sitar, frog, tamborine). Indian Wars' sound is influenced by garage bands such as DEMON'S CLAWS, THE BLACK LIPS, and the JACUZZI BOYS as well as the classic sounds of THE BAND, THE SEEDS, and the ROLLING STONES. [engl] Finally a new single of these punk rock and rollers from Montpellier / France, and its quite a change to their previous output, not only musically, now they sing in french! Ouh-la-la! The recording of the new album - which will be out on SLOVENLY RECORDS again - and this single started in November 2021 at Château Vergogne, with Maxime Smadja (Rixe, BOSS, Condor, Digital Octopus...) who brought all his savoir-faire to the band’s sound. Cream of the crop stuff. Those records are sure to provide a much-needed rock’n’roll slap in your face. Les Lullies didn’t want to repeat the same record as the first ones, and with the pandemic, being stuck at home without touring, they took time to write, record and produce.

[engl] Makeouts are a Stockholm, Sweden based Garage Punk band. From day one of their existence the had quite s following, and with their wild live shows and stage antics they established themselves in the garagerock scene. Their music is constantly evolving but they dont give a shit about the latest musical trend. Their first crude recordings back in 2005 had a early 90ties budget rock sound, they sent us a demo CD with four harsh and lo-fi tracks that simply hit the nail, just like the RIP-OFFS, SPASTICS or LOLI AND THE CHONES did, and those songs became one of our first 45s on Bachelor, catalog number BR-03. In 2010, with their debut album „In a strange land!“ (also released on Bachelor Records) they won the swedish independent music award, manifest for best swedish rock album of the year. By this time they already have been touring in England, Germany, Austria, Holland and Italy and played with bands like Jay Reatard, King Khan & BBQ Show, Dirtbombs, Eagles of Death Metal, New Bomb Turks, Hunx, Nobunny, Ty Segall,... Now, three years after the release of the critically well acclaimed debut album they are back with their opus magnum, „Back To Sleep“, a true masterpiece that will make waves and stand out of the tons of releases you get on your desk / dropbox each week... This full lenght contains noise, chaos and beauty, inspired by lots of cool music, but without sounding either retro or like a carbon copy. Europe now got their own brilliant garage punk band, the MAKEOUTS.

[engl] We are very proud to present the MAKEOUTS first songs sung in swedish language, on a very limited 7" record housed in a brown paper sleeve. Soon after starting this wonderful enterprise called Bachelor Recording Co. the MAKEOUTS sent in a demo containing four harsh early 90s styled and lo-fi garage punk songs, and we instandly fell in love with these lads and did their debut 7" back in 2006. It's been nearly four years since we released the critically well acclaimed LP. They even won the swedish alternative music price in 2010. It was kinda surprising for us when they came up with the idea of doing a single in their motherlanguage, but when I listened to the recordings (we were sitting in a mexican restaurant and they were pushing earplugs into my direction...) I was blown away. Swedish is a good language for punk music! ASTA KASK! RADIOAKTIVA RÄKER! RUDE KIDS! Nuff said.... These two tunes here are straightforward and tight, but still have the certain MAKEOUTS charme. For those who dont unterstand what the MAKEOUTS are singing here, we included a inlay with the lyrics. In swedish. No subtitles. Limited to 200 copies!

[engl] THE MAKEOUTS started long time ago as a RIP OFFS blueprint, short harsh guitar riffs, fast paced songs and snotty vocals. Their first demo blew me away, so I did a 7” with them (still available btw). THE MAKEOUTS became quite well known in their country, played with all famous garage punk bands that stopped by, and toured Europe with THE HEARTATTACKS (also from Sweden). The< got quite some reputation as fun live band and got invited to festivals like ROTTERDAM RUMBLE, PRICKLY PEA BOWLS (Sardinia) and the CHOKE FEST (Innsbruck, Austriah!). After years and years of practicing they finally learned how to play their instruments and got back with a unique mixture of punkrock and garage pop, they definitely learned their BACK FROM THE GRAVE and NUGGETS lessons and fired them up with some serious BLACK LIPS, JAY REATARD and KING KHAN & BBQ SHOW herbs.

[engl] Three Swedes, masterful engineering, authenic Budget Rock(TM) instruments and cheap liquor result in a distictively new interpretation of the RIP OFFS meet TEENGENERATE sound. One of the four tracks is written by Mark Sultan. You don't know him? You stink!

[engl] Ben Cook (FUCKED UP, CRIMINALLY INSANE, and YOUNG GOVERNER) is a pretty good songwriter! Just listen to the other MARVELOUS DARLINGS releases on Deranged Records or Wall Ride Records. This kid has more genius in his skinny body than you in your whole body. Except maybe you are the guy who wrote all the EXPLODING HEARTS songs… or maybe not even then. Here are two new songs that are NOT going to be on the full length that should be out at the end of summer 09, the first song is a uptempo powerpop anthem, the flipside contains a itsy bit campfire-esque rocker.
