    SWEATSHOP BOYS

    two men

[engl] Hailing from Tel Aviv, these 4 Israeli Power-Punk-Poppers are finally back with their sophomore album after the great debut in 2013. „Two Men“ comes with twelve marvelous Punk Rock / Power Pop hymns in the vein of Sonic Avenues, Steve Adamyk Band and Radioactivity so expect a lot of speed, melody and background choirs. The Sweatshop Boys really do excel in making you happy through a record – try to stay mad at the world/yourself/your boss while listening to this album…you won’t succeed. It’s like MDMA without the serotonin hangover.

    TACKS

    s/t

[engl] The Tacks‘ self-titled album immediately shines with the band‘s inherent wonderful sound of melancholic joy in darkness in general. The mix of goth, dark wave, post punk and the best of 80s college radio can confidently be subsumed under Dark Punk - if you need something like pigeonholes for it. Glassy guitars, an enchanting voice, bubbling basses and driving melodies to a catchy beat - that‘s The Tacks from Christchurch, NZ.

    TOYS THAT KILL

    Fambly 42

    TRAINWRECK

I there is light it will find you

    TRAINWRECK

    old departures, new beginnings

So weit so gut. Ganz einfach: “Old departures, new beginnings” ist sozusagen ein musikalisches Burger-Menu.

    risky business

[engl] If you like your Punk Rock with just the right amount of dirty organ and snotty Garage, you might have found your new favourite band right here. Van Dammes from Helsinki are four guys who perfected the mixture of catchy hooks, melodic riffs and scruffy noise. For fans of Marked Men, Sedatives and Statues. There’s even a little bit of Zebrassierers in there, if you remember that band. 6 Songs on this 7" – all killer.

    VOIGHT KAMPFF

    last house on the right

[engl] VOIGHT KAMPFF are back with two new killer songs! These are the first recordings since their debut in 2012 and you can hear that for sure. 'Last House on the right' and 'Little Dyings' are a little bit more in the wake of Colin's last band SAFE- WORDS, which means more Post than Punk, more Computer than drums and more Wave than Garage. This 7" could have been a really great release in the 80's - now it's an even more awesome new little platter for the Generation Y or whatever the hell young folks are called these days.

    WHEN THERE IS NONE

    Fuck Death

[engl] From the first few riffs of “Fuck Death!”, you can tell that you are in for a special treat. This is not your typical 3-chord punk rock wasteland - this is a very well written post hardcore/punk album. And it took those 4 guys only 6 years to record it... These 12 songs show that When There Is None perfected their sound & songwriting over the past years. The album has more melodies than power chords and more sing-alongs than boredom. Sounding like a hybrid somewhere between the Sainte Catherines, Leatherface and Hot Water Music - this album keeps on growing with every spin. Also, finally a concept we all can agree on. Fuck Death!

    WHEN THERE IS NONE

    Warpaint

[engl] This town is an ashtray. And the sky doesn't give a shit. It just looks bored and grey. Boy, you can really tell that these 4 guys are from Aachen. But jokes aside, this LP will remind you of an awesome mixture of Leatherface meets Hot Water Music meets Hüsker Dü. Sandpapery voice, melody driven post-hardcore guitars and very tight drumming. Fist in the air!
