Not much words can describe the record besides awesome, beautiful, heartfelt and mindblowing. So amazed that this little record reflects everything the label and friendship is all about.

[engl] Pressing Info 100 copies on White 300 copies on Black You might have previously chanced upon Artefact if you’ve got your ear to the ground of the fertile, exciting DIY punk circuit in the UK. Equally, they might be brand new to you, but there’s no shame in that game. Release-wise, the four-piece have gone straight from a demo to a debut LP – a step-up that, ‘Votive Offering’, the long player in question, justifies in a half-hour blaze of elegant, alluring gothic punk grandeur. Artefact assembled in the Welsh capital, Cardiff, around late 2014 and debuted in early 2015 with a seven-song demo cassette. Featuring Hannah Saunders on vocals, Matthew Green on guitar, Jon Mohajer on bass and Danny Parsons on drums, members’ musical CVs span indiepop (Joanna Gruesome), post-hardcore (Facel Vega), emo (Plaids), garage punk (Twisted) and slowcore (Mars To Stay). This collective experience has certainly informed Artefact, in terms of how they operate and conduct themselves, but it should equally be seen as a clean break, and a chance to indulge their tastes for postpunk, goth, deathrock and the darker side of the tracks in general. Saunders – the only one of the quartet to be playing in a band for the first time – is a great and mercurial presence at the microphone, ramping up the drama and emotion running through ‘Votive Offering’. Her lyrics are suitably, poetically intriguing, heavy with alliteration and wordplay and spiked with literary and historical references. They meet their perfect match across these ten songs: rolling rhythms built from tom-heavy drums and punchy basslines, waves of ear-ringing chorus-pedal guitar, an ability to switch tempos from a brisk clip to a funereally slow march. ‘Votive Offering’ is boosted by a recording (at North Wales’ Foel Studios) which gives each sonic element the spotlight it deserves, while retaining Artefact’s serrated edge, and mastering by prolific punk platter polisher, Daniel Husayn of North London Bomb Factory. The striking sleeve art comes from inside the mind of Scott Young, an American artist who has also fashioned covers for bands including Gag and Strutter. And it’s being released by German punk label Adagio830 (Diät, Dark Blue, Ranx/Xerox, Rat Columns) as a result of label owner Robert Schulze stumbling on an Artefact live set while on tour, and falling in love. Anyone whose tastes include foundation stones of goth such as Siouxsie & The Banshees or Bauhaus; The Mob, Part 1 and other names from the gloomier end of 1980s anarcho punk; or contemporary burners of the flame like Belgrado, Arctic Flowers or Anasazi… Artefact have made an album for you to fall in love with too.

[engl] Bad Vision from Melbourne / Australia came together in 2011 to make some noise. Fed on a diet of garage, post punk and proto punk, Bad Vision drawinspiration from the likes of Jay Reatard, The Wipers, Mission Of Burma, Angry Angles, The Saints and The Dirtbombs. Bringing some raw guitar noise that’s still abundant with melody to the table. Like a dirty takeaway on a Friday night, it hits the spot and goes well with beer.

[engl] We are proud to release the 2nd full length with our beloved Bad Vision from Melbourne Australia The new full lenght got recorded at Purple Wayne Studios in Collingwood by David West (Rat Columns, Total Control, Rank/Xerox) in one weekend back in January. ‘Turn Out Your Sockets‘ is the name of the 2nd full length after the self titled debut LP and contains 13 bangers between Jay Reatard, The Wipers, Mission Of Burma, Angry Angles, The Saints and The Dirtbombs.

[engl] Baton Rouge is 4/5 of Daitro playing "a kind of indie - noise in the vein of Unwound /Television /Mission Of Burma / Sonic Youth mixed with some emo-rock ala Twelve Hour Turn / Tubers". 4 friends who grew up in the landscape of the Beaujolais vineyard close to Lyon France, between birds and grapes. They learned how to play together being inspired by Sonic Youth, Mudhonney, Nirvana or things like that. This is a new project in the vein of their first love, a kind of indie rock with power chords, arpeggios, clear voices, and tremelo. Same people, different way to play, different music with the feeling to discover everything, as the beginning of learning music even as they had been playing together for a long time. Everybody says that 30 years is a rebirth in people's life, for Baton Rouge, it's an extra time of their friendship, just good time spent together in playing old things, with a lot of common pleasant recollection. "Fragment deux meme" is an 8 piece record where all these influences are suggested closely or remotely connected, as if it was the natural following of their last ten years.

[engl] Baton Rouge play great melodic emo rock mixed w/ a raw noisy edge like Unwound meets a little Hot Snakes and Twelve Hour Turn. These 9 new songs are even more catchy then on the one before - so it was worth waiting two years.

[engl] Locktender from CLEVELAND, OH contain / reformed out of the ashes from “Men As Trees”. On this split 10" is one epic long heavy brutal hardcore song that expands over 10 minutes and just leave your ears bleeding and your mouth will be white open of disbelieve. Brighter Arrows from Chesterton, IN/Chicago, IL just continue the tradition of midwestern mid90ies emo w/ beautiful melodies, passionate lyrics and a lot of goosebumps. It reminds me a lot on bands like The Pine, Casket Lottery and a little bit of Mineral. Just beautiful. Two awesome songs. They also just released a a great 6 song ep The Ghost is Clear Records and Fair Weather Records.

[engl] The third album from Scottish post-hardcore trio Carson Wells, out 15 June 2018 via Barely Regal Records and Black Lake Records in the UK, as well as European labels Adagio830 and Discos Finu, in Berlin and Madrid respectively. It will be available on 12” vinyl and as a digital download. All artwork was created by Andy Hemming. From their roots in mathy screamo, to their intricate and brooding sophomore LP, Tread A Northern Path, Carson Wells has evolved considerably during their near decade as a band. No Relic continues to push their music in new directions, as arguably their most surprising release to date. At 6-songs, certain authorities might consider it too short for the ‘long-play’ tag, yet, at thirty minutes it outruns their debut album, the nine track 'Wonderkid'. The sprawling compositions on 'No Relic' stand as a testament to the expanded horizons of the trio’s songwriting - switching effortlessly from blistering, scrappy sections that hark back to the band's early output, to expansive, hypnotic passages.

[engl] Repeater Records and Adagio830 Records are proud to announce that they are jointly releasing City Of Caterpillar’s highly sought after song “Driving Spain Up A Wall” as a 12” EP. This 11 minute epic was never properly recorded during the band’s initial existence and only a few live recordings of the song from 2002 – 2003 have existed up until now. “Driving Spain Up A Wall” has been a long awaited missing piece of the band’s discography, but was recently recorded in their hometown of Richmond, VA and was mixed and mastered by Jack Shirley at The Atomic Garden Studio. The B-Side of the 12” also includes the track “As The Curtains Dim (little white lie)”, which was originally recorded during the same sessions as City Of Caterpillar’s self titled LP in 2002, but has never been released on vinyl. Both songs on this 12” brilliantly capture the restrained and explosive intensity that City Of Caterpillar helped to define as a sound in the early 00’s, merging the styles of post-rock and shoegaze with punk and hardcore. This 12” will be out this summer to coincide with City Of Caterpillar’s first European tour and more U.S. shows in the Fall of 2017. The 12” will be released in the U.S. by Repeater Records and in Europe via Adagio830 Records.

[engl] 9 song debut album after a stunning 7" and Demo. When a band has the word “leather” in their name, usually you either think of something like Judas Priest or you go the Velvet Underground route. Well, Cold Leather sound like neither. In fact, they probably sound as if no punk band had existed from ’74 on. They play those tasty classic rock type riffs with a groovy rhythm section and have the same sexy teenage urgency that you feel when you listen to The Runaways. It’s like they were punks before there was punk – and I don’t mean power-pop. I’m thinking about that period of time when rock was dangerous and sexual and it wasn’t necessary to differentiate it from all the commercial bands’ bullshit. [engl] Demain Est Annulé (tomorrow is canceled) is the first album from indie rockers Contractions. Written in Lyon, arranged in Besançon, Demain Est Annulé makes an intimate link between the future and the past of its creators. It sums up their previous experiences with their previous bands (Baton Rouge, Hawaii Samurai, The Irradiates) and brings into the light the massive musical knowledge / experiences they acquired through the years thanks to their involvement in the local indie / punk scene of their hometowns This album has been recorded and mixed by Bruno Germain at L'Epicerie Moderne in Lyon, France in the beginning of 2019, then mastered by Mikey Young (Eddy Current Suppression Ring, Total Control) in Melbourne, Australia in may 2019. It got inspired by melodies coming from Kiwi Pop bands + contemporary indie garage bands such as Parquet Courts, The Babies or Reigning Sound, mixed with raw energy inherited from their DIY punk background and a common worship for Hot Snakes and 60s UK/US garage bands. Contractions though know they won't bring anything new. Because novelty is not really the point here… behind its obvious simplicity, the songwriting is very subtle. Every song has a hook. Arrangements are precise. The melodic vocals are often on the edge of being in tune. Every element of the songs and their recording actually point in the unique direction of looking for the genuine emotion. There also is in Julien's lyrics this disturbing and familiar sense of realism in the abstraction. They go through personal / intimate topics (Juste Derrière Chez Moi, Un autre Temps, Dans la peau), to this will of staying far from the dominant mass and praising the underground cultures (Passe Par le Detour, Un jour qui traîne). There is also social reflexions about the last riots / social movements in France (Trace En Ville, Demain Est Annulé) and last but not least about sexual assaults in the punk community (Rien n'est Acquis), which is a painful topic to deal with.

[engl] The LP contains the out-of-print stuff from the split LP with SED NON SATIATA, the split 7" with AMPERE and the 2 songs that were on the US tour 7". This is one of the best french emotive hardcore bands. The records comes in a beautiful artwork done by Julien, printed innersleeve and every LP incl. a download coupon for videos from a show in Japan and another video.

[engl] This LP collects out of print singles and songs by DARK BLUE. Comprised of members of Clockcleaner, Ceremony, Paint It Black and Strand Of Oaks, Philadelphia's Dark Blue play burly, wide-open guitar sound that was found on earlier releases by such UK '80s bands as The Comsat Angels, The Stone Roses, Blitz, and Australia's The Church witch the carismatic voice of John Sharkey III.

[engl] Dark Blue follow up their debut LP, ‘Pure Reality’ (Jade Tree), with ‘Start Of The World’ (/ADAGIO830/ 12XU) - a soundtrack of a decaying United States. Each song drips with the realities of atrocities happening all around us. John Sharkey III (Vocals, Guitar) pushes Dark Blue far beyond the post-punk meets oi sound they perfected on their earlier releases, and adds elements of brit-pop and shoegaze.
