[engl] Andre Williams does not need an introduction anymore. At age 80 his career has taken him around the world and back, spanning 50 years with more ups and downs than most people would survive. Garage rockers, meet your spiritual ancestor. AW is a rock-n-roll survivor, a musician whose credits stretch back to the 1950s, a former session player with Ike & Tina Turner who reinvigorated his career with a string of late 90s garage rock albums like "Red Dirt" and "Silky". He continued to tour the world, write songs, write books and generally entertain anyone sitting next to him with his stories and charisma. With this 5 track Mini-LP, Andre has teamed up with his touring band the Goldstars, to assemble a collection of fine songs, that reflects his current sound and attitude. Williams has little left to prove, so if the guy wants to sing about women - as he does, one way or another, on every track here - I'm sure not going to tell him NO. It is one part garage rock, one part R&B and part Andre Williams, having fun in doing his thing. This is a soulful record, a dance record and a reflective record of an icon still at work as a world-class entertainer. Finally it is available, but only in a very limited edition. [engl] Before there was Kool Keith, Old Dirty Bastard or 2 Live Crew - before there was hip hop, for that matter - there was Blowfly, performing X-rated songs with a funky groove. Born 60 years ago in Cochran, Georgia, Miami's Clarence Reid has recorded more than 40 albums during his illustrious career. He got his nickname as a child when his grandmother, after hearing him sing dirty versions of then popular songs - like "Suck My Dick" for "Do The Twist" - proclaimed, "You is nastier than a blowfly."

[engl] Imagine the Stones back in the days when they still had balls (and teeth)? 4 albums in and Atlanta's swankiest garage-soul-rnb are still the cat's pajamas! Taking inspiration from the 60s mod movement, and early UK R&B then combining with it a garage-punk attitude there's no one really like them out right now. These days, it’s not enough to merely claim The Rolling Stones and The Kinks as influences. Everyone loves The Stones and Kinks, thanks to Martin Scorsese and Wes Anderson films, respectively, just like every band claims to be influenced by such 60?s and 70?s music. Yet, The Booze make it all believable. Having toured as Muddy Waters Jr.’s backing band and opening act, this Southern Rock outfit have etched out their own sound “marrying a motherlode of 60s R&B/Mod with a Stonesy switchblade swagger.” My Old Kentucky Blog. Songs like „Wild One“ and „The Scene“ sure are raw hits in the face. Along come sweet mellow ballads such as “Down on your Luck” or “New York City Women”. To be honest, we at Lonestar Records think this is one of our best records so far. We love it!

[engl] What do you expect when of the best Rock’n’Roll groups of today come down with the godfather of punk to write and record music? The result is “Mars is for Martians”, one of the best songs of the Martians to date. They wrote the music, Iggy the lyrics and they recorded it together.

[engl] These Swedes are well known for 2 absolutely great albums on "Bad Afro". The Chronics improved their R&R by finding the right proportion between groove and the direct catchy side of rock. So they can set any record player on fire. They pepper their sound with a sweet dash of soul. Withi combining the two legacys of Detroit, the rock and Motown, they establish their own Rock'n'Soul. The Chronics recorded these songs exclusively for this 7".

[engl] Truckincowpunkabilly at ist finest!!! This is the long awaited last Cowslingers album. On their 9th album these Cleveland Cow-Punks combine Country with Rockabilly with Punk, Trucking and Love Ballads. They also feature some great cover songs like "Rabbit's Foot" and "Whole lotta Rosie". The LP features "Fortune Teller" as a bonus track.

[engl] After releasing more than a dozen of recordings Lonestar Recs is happy to release the new single with one of their most favourite bands on earth: the Flaming Sideburns, one of the most explosive live-acts to date. The finish Garage-rock institution! The great catchy tune "let me take you far" presents all their trademarks. You will recognize that the whole crowd is singing "all my friends dig Rock'n'Roll" and so do we. Special about this recording is: Stockholm's own Hellacopters did the background vocals for this 7". On the B-Side you will find a cove of the Sonics' "The Hustler".

Our favourite rock’n’roll band presents the best track of their actual album “Sky Pilots” “Since the Beginning” with 2 very special songs: Here they got “Submarine Sensation” in a whole new version and this will blow you away! Its rawer, it’s more rock’n’roll and it’s peppered with their own style. You gonna enjoy it! + you will get on the b-side the great psychedelic Lou Reed-cover “Leave me Alone”. So I would say: Value for money. The best about this whole single is: It’s limited to only 666 copies, so be fast and get yourself a copy of this soon to be collector’s item!

[engl] The Gospel Swingers from Austin, TX release their debut album, following a killer 7" on In The Red Records. They are sort of a garage soul rock supergroup: Former members of Blacktop, Ronnie Dawson??s band, Fireworks. 3 members are in the Now Time Delegation as well. The album is produced by Tim Kerr, who plays some guitar, too. The result: organ-driven, soul-injected garage shakin' rock 'n' roll. This 180g LP is limited to 500 copies!

[engl] In reality, there's a split personality involved in this man's music: there's Blowfly, the outrageously garbed creator of trash classics such as "Shittin' on the Dock of the Bay" and "Porno Freak," and then there's Clarence Reid, who has recorded more than a dozen "clean" albums over the years and penned songs for the likes of K.C. and the Sunshine Band, Gwen McRae, Betty Wright, and Sam and Dave. Many people cite Blowfly as being the first rapper with his 1965 "Rap Dirty" record, which was re-recorded for disco giants T.K. Records after the smash success of Sugar Hill Gang's "Rapper's Delight." Blowfly himself credits the "soul talking" Southern radio DJs of the '50s and '60s as the pioneers of rap, but he is without dispute the first rapper to have a song banned, after an Alabama record store was busted for peddling "Porno Freak." Blowfly was also sued by the President of ASCAP for his "What a Difference a Lay Makes." (The music publishing honcho also happened to be the composer of the popular "What a Difference a Day Makes.") Blowfly's sounds are a staple of modern-day hip hop. His music has been sampled by many rappers, including The Jurassic 5, (whose hit "Quality Control" is backed by the outro from Weird World Of Blowfly) Ice Cube, Atmosphere and Puff Daddy. 

[engl] 9PH is back. Right in time for their first european tour in a looooong tim, Lonestar Recs put out the latest recorded songs by the mighty Nine Pound Hammer. The line-up features Scott Luallen as well as Nashville Pussy's own Blaine Cartwright. "Rode hard and drove away wet" is a 9PH original that is just as good as a kick in the nuts. 9PH haven't sound that fresh and smashing in quite a time and like this it feels good to have em back. Side B ("this drinkin will kill me") just fits in perfectly. It's a cove of the country icon Dwight Yoakam. This single is limited to 800 copies and hand stamped.

[engl] Finally! The long awaited album of the Republikans is available. Many years after the Turpentines, it is finally out. This the follow-up band to The Turpentines (White Jazz Records). It also features members of Henry Fiat’s Open Sore. It is a raw blend of early punk rock and some rock’n’roll. Ex-Turpentines singer Markus Karlsson adds his very unique voice and with song titles like “the suicide look”, “favourite lie” or “I wanna break your arm” you can’t go wrong. To complete the sound, the band recruited a horn section (The Honkeys). You may ask what’s the deal with the name? They chose a name that sure has to be hated, a name that fits to their nihilistic, but melodic punk rock songs!

[engl] RCM is a band from New Orleans featuring Rik Slave (Man Scouts of America) on vocals and Sean Yseult (White Zombie) on bass. They combine the best of the New York Dolls, Dead Boys, 70ies Arena-Rock with a joint love of dead things, nocturnal living, monster movies and NYC punk rock. The album was produced by Ramones-producer Daniel Rey.

[engl] 5 youngbloods outta the southswedish province. To be exact: Mölndal. When listening to their debut album you will recognize 2 things at once: Their song writing skills and their easy being when it comes to play great rock. This aspect is even more breath-taking when you consider the ages of the bandmembers: They all been 18 and 19 years old when they recorded the album and played together for 4 years. in our eyes (ears) they're so much further than most fo their colleagues. The Sacred Sailors didn't invent Rock#n'Roll but they present it in a way that's unbelievable fresh. Mixing-up a rock-bastard between CCR and Led Zeppelin, paired with the energy of abnds like the Hellacopters or Gluecifer.

[engl] This is a fine 7” from L.A.’s own SPEEDBUGGY. After an album release on one of the Bad Religion dude’s “Porterhouse Records”, an album and a mini album on “Cargo Records” and a sold-out 10” on “Man’s Ruin”, we’re proud to present Speedbuggy’s debut 7”. The time is now, so how long do you wanna wait? This is great Country-Punk-Rock’n’Roll, catchy Country-Rawk with a slight “middle-finger-in-the-air-attitude!” … or whatever you wanna call it. “Bitter Man”’s gonna kick any Hillbilly’s ass and “Blacktop Highway” is something for ya shaky lil lady. I would say it’s the right tune for the perfect combination of an ice-cold beer and a damn-hot chick. Just tasty! A soon-to-be-classic! This band is featuring the x-guitarist from NOFX, by the way. And this Lonestar release will have a extra-cool vintage-style artwork on a rough paper to make it a real Original. I can’t say more then I bet you’re gonna love this one
