[engl] Bart Medoza is, undoubtedly, one of the greatest pop songwriters America has given us in the last three decades, as he has proved along the years as the leading force behind Manual Scan and then The Shambles. Now he is back with a new project, True Stories, where he has joined some usual suspects from San Diego, including long-time friend David Fleminger (Manual Scan). After a cd released in the U.S.A and a few appearances in tribute albums all over the world, here we have their first vinyl 45 with a selection of their finest moments, probably some of the best songs ever penned by Bart. Classic powerpop shots with a Zombiesque organ sound here and there, sublime stuff.
