Just when you thought the Pacific Northwest extreme metal scene was in a recession, the torch bearers make a prodigal return with plenty of genuine novel sonic territory to explore and exploit. The album is one continuous block, a concept encapsulating the stages of grief, only to once again wind up at the last stage of acceptance and all it has to offer. The passages ebb and flow with the aid of violin with as exactly as much anticipation for the next shattering riff sequence thoroughly wiping the slate clean before reminding us of the annihilating pain that can all but extinguish us on this side of the grass. The drumming is exquisite in execution and far more dynamic than your average stoner doom, which is even more surprising when you realize the vocalist screaming his head off and drummer are the same person. This album leaves no dark metal motif unexamined and is a paramount testament to the region’s past two decades of esoteric, star-gazing, nature freaks that get the fuck down with gravely horrendous aural landscapes. [engl] A semi-legendary classic of 90'ties Polish CRUST is finally back in black. FILTH OF MANKIND not only took their name from an early MISERY song but also managed to put a ton of more heaviness on top of the already crushing MISERY sound and developed a soundtrack of moody, ultra heavy and atmospheric CRUST with heaps of Death Metal. The impending doom was never put into a crust punk album with more accuracy. Now, after more then 16 years since it's last vinyl reissue, this masterpiece is finally available again faithfully remastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege. F.O.M. formed in Gdansk, Poland in 1996 and only recorded the 7" and the album before the classic line-up folded in 2001 with members parting ways to concentrate on new projects. Just one of them being the mighty MORNE from Boston,USA. A version of F.O.M. continued for a few years but never recorded anything during that period. Micha? and Pawel "Balon" went on to form DEATH CRUSADE who are also still active today. The Lyrics, all sung in polish, dealing with poverty, repression, racism and exploitation all wrapped into a dark vision of the impending apocalypse caused by capitalism and warmongers alike. Nothing that is all news but also nothing that has resolved over the years. - The album features an insert with translations into English. Vinyl copies of this Discography double album come in a heavy Gatefold-sleeve with Insert Poster and an etched D-side, featuring a design by Hillarie Jason.

[engl] Eleven years after their already classic and genre defining “Under the Ashes” Osaka’s FRAMTID are back with a new LP. “Defeat of Civilization” is everything you would expect from FRAMTID. 10 tracks of crushing Japanese hardcore heavily influenced both by the sound and ideas of early Swedish hardcore but pushing to sound to the edge. Mega distorted guitars, deep vocals and the most solid yet dynamic rhythm section you’ll ever witness are FRAMTID’s trademark as well as are their lyrics full of hope and their stark black and white graphics.

[engl] The Scandicrust institution known as Fredag Den 13:e was formed in Gothenburg/Sweden back in 2006. The five guys had met through local punk shows and decided to combine the raw power of Swedish punk acts like Anti Cimex and Mob47 with the rock ‘n roll feel of Poison Idea and Motörhead. After the first 7” was released in 2007 the band have to this day released four full length albums – ’Under Iskalla Fanor’ (2010), ’Tjugohundratretton’ (2013) and ’Domedagar’ (2015) and ’Dystopisk Utsikt’ (2018). Their new album Mänskliga Gränstillstånd (translated Human Limit States) contains 12 fierce tracks in the same style as their previous albums – the mix of riffs hailing from the last 30 years of rock music. In the opening track “En Sömn Utan Slut” (A Sleep Without End) you will hear fragments of the Gothenburg death sound made famous by At The Gates, followed by raging d-beat in ’Våldsmonopol? (Monopoly Of Violence). The rock ‘n roll-feel of Poison Idea hits the listener in “Dödens Aveny” (Death’s Avenue) and the HC-breakdowns are lined up in “Förlorade År” (Lost Years). You will also hear fragments of Scandinavian black metal in riffs like “Du Lever En Lögn” (You’re Living A Lie) and ”Tyst Vår” (Silent Spring). Lead singer G explains the idea behind the lyrics on the album: “On our last album, Dystopisk Utsikt, most of the lyrics involved the disgust towards religion, fascism and oppression that rose all over the world during the last decade. When entering 2020 the world was hit by a plague that put humanity in a state of lockdown and that became the foundation for the lyrics on the new album. The title Mänskliga Gränstillstånd has its origin in the way we look at psychological isolation and the concept of madness – what is normal and what is not?”

Serving as the highly anticipated follow up to 2021's La Colpa È Solo Tua on the Sorry State label, Tadzio Pederzolli (the mastermind behind this one man band) has once again gifted us with an ace hardcore punk recording, upping the fervor and delivery in a way that most couldn't imagine after the already furious debut LP which he also recorded on his own during the pandemic. The Assuefazione Quotidiana 7" EP features five absolute pounders of tracks, giving us more of the D-Beat based hardcore punk listeners came to love from the initial release with nods to Italian classics as the foundation of it all, topped off with politically and socially charged lyrics challenging modern norms and injustices. Truly a breath of fresh air sonically and philosophically. [engl] Tadzio Pederzolli from KOMPLOTT and SEMPRE PEGGIO managed to keep expectations high and deliver an amazingly fresh D-beat-infused hardcore record. It’s great to see punk bands that use their political views as weapons against ignorance and prejudice, as not many bands these days talk openly about their beliefs. Just head on over to his Bandcamp and grab a shirt, with proceeds going to Brigate Volontarie. Everything about this record screams activism and solidarity. This is what punk is supposed to be.

[engl] After 15 years, GOMORRHA are back again. And they are really interested to doing a new EP. The band (few of them are now in CALIBAN, SRTK and BLOODATTACK) enter the Nemesis Studios by Marc Görtz early 2015 for 3 weeks and recording 4 infernal new tracks in the same intention as years ago. The recordings are similar to bands like Pig Destroyer, Assück or Phobia taken ... so nothing else we all those years ago.

[engl] Generations in hardcore move quickly. The scene changes constantly, and yet there is always a group of bands uninterested in the current trends. Some people just want to write aggressive underground music and bring people together. Call it what you want — old school, meat and potatoes, or, most recently, democore — Grand Scheme, a punk hardcore band from the DMV, are that band for this generation. They’ve done everything you need to do, like release tapes and go on tour, and nothing you don’t, like collect corporate sponsorships or beg for your attention. Their new 7”, Numbers Game, is being released by 11 PM Records and features eight unifying songs and that’s it.
