Lots to process about this record, from the hyperactive drumming, catchy rhythm backbone by the bass, 1000 pedal stomp buzz saw noise/psychedelic soundscapes guitars, discordant terminator vocals that sound like they been recorded through a cheap boom box, cameo vocals from Hardcore Victim CEO / Phantasm vox Bernie, to the more noise / beats provided by hard techno unit Nerve AKA Joshua Wells makes for one perfect storm that these noise bent fuckers have managed to harness. 3 years to make, this record sounds and reads like a reflection of life living through the tightly sanctioned lockdowns, a state of uncertainty, helplessness, anxiety and fear, geographical and imposed isolation, natural disasters and civil unrest in Naarm (Melbourne) Australia. 8 relentless noise punk tracks for the new hell we live in. [engl] After two 7?s on Crust War and Hardcore Victim and a Tour flexi in Japan on Vox Populi Records, Australian noise-punx Enzyme release their debut 10 track debut album. The band made up of ex members of PISSCHRIST, KROMOSOM and UNKNOWN TO GOD worship at the altar of Perdition era DISORDER, CHAOS UK and CONFUSE. The bass drives the sound, the drums hectic with a lot of rolling tom tom work whilst the guitar has an immense tone of buzzing distortion and flanged psychedelics which sits somewhere between GLOOM and LES RAZILLES DENUDES. Pummeling, assertive one-two hardcore with a visceral-physical without stupidity, clever but unpretentious venomous vocals.

[engl] EVERYTHING FALLS APART was a short-lived punk band from Munich, u. a. with two members of ZSD, which existed just under a year before the end of 1986, at the very time bands such as Spermbirds, Skeezicks, Hostages of Ayatollah or Combat Not Conform with American-influenced hardcore provided movement in the scene. "Lost in Limbo" features a complete retrospective and includes the seven songs that were posthumously released on the 1987 split-LP on Double-A and X-Mist, the piece from the "Viva Umkhonto!" Sampler and a unreleased Song from the same session plus a selection of live pieces, including cover versions of pieces by Government Issue, The Freeze and Minor Threat. This nice piece of plastic comes in an Inside Out Cover design and include a big full color booklet, with rare photos, lyrics, history and linernotes.

[engl] If you are going to begin checking out what grindcore has to offer at this time , EXHALE's newest album When Worlds Collide is a great place to start. The album is fast and heavy with well-crafted songs, excellent musicianship, a perfect mix of screams and death growls and great lyrics. Exhale pays homage to the musical genre that paved the way for grindcore by mixing in solid hardcore grooves and breakdowns. The band also makes use of elements from classic death metal ,deathcore, grindcore and crust giving them a more unique sound than many other grindcore bands. The guitar work is superb and the blast beat drumming is done with both breakneck speed and technical perfection. However, the real star here is the highly featured bass work of Johan Fogelberg. He can move seamlessly from blazingly fast arrangements to slow paced catchy breakdowns. All of this makes an amazing album with a ton of great songs! Throw in NASUM and ROTTEN SOUND and you have fairly strong idea of what Exhale is about. The vinyl issue is housed in a high quality 320 gramm gatefold sleeve!Artwork is done by Dennis Sibeijn!

[engl] """Baptised In Shit"" is the 1995 debut album of Manchesters crucial-crust institution EXTINCTION OF MANKIND. Reissued via Ruin Nation Records and available again on vinyl for the first time in 17 Years and for the very first time as digital download! Originally published in 1995 by Skuld Releases, written and recorded by the (semi) original line up you find the E.O.M. sound pointing more towards a unique combination of early 80´s UK Peace-Punk like ICONS OF FILTH with a heavy dose of ANTI-SECT influence but with a far superior 90´s production and a really heavy guitar-ridden sound that remind me quite a bit of CELTIC FROST. Tracked, recorded and mixed 1995 at the legendary Whitehouse Studios by Martin Nichols who also took great care in remastering and adjusting the songs from the original DAT master for the digital download that comes with the vinyl. We also restored all the original artwork and the package includes a 12"" sized 6 panel folder with all lyrics as well as artwork by Squeal, Nick Blinko and Paul Smith. Also included is a B2 sized version of the Poster that came with the original pressing. First 265 copies come on limited yellow and black marbled vinyl and will be shipped around the 4th of October. This edition comes with a flexi from northern power violence heavies Eyeteeth. Eyeteeth are relentless and terrifying - just like all great hardcore SHOULD be! Dark powerviolence from people who have been in just about every notable straightedge hardcore band in the UK from the 2000s onwards. The four tracks on this flexi call to mind the powerviolence/grind gods Despise You mixed with some solid old school death metal riffage for an extra punch in the chops. Goofiness DOES NOT abound with Eyeteeth - these tracks cover religion, drugs, and British colonialism. No gimmicks. No trends. [engl] During the existence of F.U.B.A.R. (more than ten years) I heard them several times, both on CD and live. Despite the anger and energy it wasn’t really my band due to the fact it was just full throttle without great song structures. The fact the band isn’t the tighest on earth didn’t help either, but when you play oldschool grindcore mixed with fast hardcore that isn’t the main goal of course. With ‘Lead Us to War’ they improved the sound quality immense and also the band performs a lot tighter. The agression and the loathing towards social and political issues can be heard better than ever, Besides the fast grindcore/hardcore the title song is a doomy crust piece of 4 minutes in the vein of Dystopia. Feedback, slow ‘n heavy guitar riffs and vocals if someone’s dying is totally fitting up the fuck off mentality of F.U.B.A.R. This song is one of the most outstanding tracks and it would’ve been a wise decision to write more of these tracks that will flow with the constant stream of high velocity ragers. To conclude: this is the best album of Fucked Up Beyond All Recognition but they still can improve more. 80 copies in yellow vinyl.

They combine many forms of metal / hardcore / punk with tempo changes, howling vocals, guttural vocals, and straight forward blasting. Even with the blasting they still manage to tie in some radical guitar tones and harmonies! Even putting in a track, that stands out in originality and will have you thinking that ‘Bugs’ are actually crawling all over you! FUBAR strand out as a blasting onslaught of old school and furious grindcore! They do a fantastic job channeling the classics and will continue to appeal to fans of Napalm Death, and Phobia. They are really at the forefront of the new dawn of grind, while still paying homage to the classics. Furious, blasting and angry energy round there tracks out.

[engl] Smoking Saves, Smoking Kills. Or in other words, what kills you is the same thing that gets you through another day. This is the thesis of “Smoking Kills”, the newest flexi disc by Seattle’s Fashion Change. Beginning as the pandemic basement project of Ryan Mathews, Fashion Change is captured here in its most realized form yet, both in terms of added members and sonic expansion. While the troglodytic rhythms and chainsaw guitars of Kyushu punk (see Confuse, Gai) are undoubtedly present, the music and message also borrows from the lighthearted nihilism of UK DIY and brutal indignation of No Trend. In the end, we have 320 seconds of psychoactive hardcore that is greater than the sum of its parts. Just when you thought the Pacific Northwest extreme metal scene was in a recession, the torch bearers make a prodigal return with plenty of genuine novel sonic territory to explore and exploit. The album is one continuous block, a concept encapsulating the stages of grief, only to once again wind up at the last stage of acceptance and all it has to offer. The passages ebb and flow with the aid of violin with as exactly as much anticipation for the next shattering riff sequence thoroughly wiping the slate clean before reminding us of the annihilating pain that can all but extinguish us on this side of the grass. The drumming is exquisite in execution and far more dynamic than your average stoner doom, which is even more surprising when you realize the vocalist screaming his head off and drummer are the same person. This album leaves no dark metal motif unexamined and is a paramount testament to the region’s past two decades of esoteric, star-gazing, nature freaks that get the fuck down with gravely horrendous aural landscapes.
