[engl] It's been a while since we've heard from Boston's Libyans, but Expired Language proves that the passage of time and the increase of space between members hasn't blunted this band's attack at all. While not quite as frantic as A Common Place, you still get plenty of rapid-fire vocals and Dan's trademark epic snare rolls, but Expired Language is an entirely subtler and more melodic record than the previous one. The guitars in particular are stunning; dense and melodic without leaning on typical punk power chord tropes. And if you liked the big sing-alongs on A Common Place, then be prepared for Expired Language to knock you out, because the choruses on this record are truly epic.

[engl] There is a certain melancholy in the music of life scars that speaks of tenderness and confidence. The beauty of the rebellion and the clarity of the critique are empowering in the face of a dying world. Originally founded in 2008 and based in the most eastern part of Poland, Life Scars became one of the most active and consistent bands in the polish DIY Punkscene. “P?kni?te Serca” (broken hearts) is their fourth record and by far their most remarkable and impressive one. Six years after their previous output, they developed their sound further, adding a second guitar, more crust riffs appearing now in their simple punk sound. It is a political album that confronts the misery of the world without losing one’s tenderness. Captivating, melodic, danceable - but always with the fist in the air.

[engl] The Lipstick Killers were easily one of the greatest live bands I've witnessed in my 65 yrs. on this planet” – Keith Morris (Black Flag/Circle Jerks/Off!!) HINDU GODS ARE CALLING YOU!!! Grown Up Wrong! Records is thrilled beyond belief to present the LONG-AWAITED anthology of material by the legendary Lipstick Killers, who blazed a trail in late ‘70s post-Radio Birdman Sydney before gigging with the likes of the Gun Club and the Flesh Eaters in Los Angeles where they crashed and burned in 1981. The Lipstick Killers released just one single in their life time – the perfect ’79 Deniz Tek-produced pairing of “Hindu Gods of Love” and ”Shakedown USA” on their own Lost in Space Records and Greg Shaw’s Voxx Records - but a posthumous live album and a couple of archival releases followed. It was all incredible. All that material is included here, as is a plethora of additional stuff, all from the best-available sources (mostly original tapes). The Lipstick Killers’ enigmatic and high-energy sound – heavily inspired by the Stooges and the ‘60s psychedelic punk sounds of bands like the Thirteenth Floor Elevators and the Chocolate Watchband – bridged the gap between Radio Birdman and subsequent Sydney groups like the Sunnyboys (whose first-ever show was opening for the Lipstick Killers), Lime Spiders, Hoodoo Gurus, the Screaming Tribesmen and the Psychotic Turnbuckles. And of course they anticipated generation after generation of other bands with similar things in mind, right up to today’s ‘60s-inspired freaks like The Straight Arrows, The Living Eyes and Thee Oh Sees.

Liquid Breakfast, the new Power Pop sensation with members from the Netherlands, UK and Germany, gives us a new direction, and setting a new example for pan-European collaboration that works! All you need is fun, beers and good Power Pop Punk Rock and Roll! Liquid Breakfast, a collaboration between the founding members of CINDY & THE CHEESEWIVES and members of legendary Dutch Power Pop band ROTJOCH, was born in the summer of 2014. The new band clicked immediately and, as all good things come quick, within a day their first song, “Let it be ‘77 again”, was recorded. An ode to the first glory days of Punk, and a call for action to the new ones, you will find yourself challenged to not keep singing the chorus over and over again. The second song on the record, “We won’t do it no more”, is a big f*ck you to whoever thinks they know better what to do with their lives, from life coaches to pop song show hosts, the song builds on the same melodic Power Pop of the first, adding more speed, more handclaps and more backing vocals to top it all off. [engl] We know a lot of you were looking foward to LITIGE's second album, so we were. "En haut trouble" is out now and we are really excited about it as it's just the perfect following to "Fuite en avant" released in 2017. LITIGE have sharpened their identity and universe and these 10 new songs hit the target. Some may sum up LITIGE as melodic punk-rock but it's much more than that. Enjoy this new record as much as we do.

[engl] LITIGE is a great punk-rock band based in Lyon, these 3 girls and this guy bring something very fresh and inspiring, sung half in French, half in English. The demo was already really good, the shows we've seen were awesome and we could not miss this and offered to help them release their first vinyl effort. "Fuite en avant" contains 8 great punk-rock but not the boring kind of punk-rock. The vocal parts are inspired and lively. The social / personnal lyrics are very original and well-written. It's a record that you shouldn't miss.

[engl] Debut album from Cardiff indie-pop collective Live, Do Nothing (ex-members of Rosehip Teahouse/Deadlines). Hiraeth & Loathing explores feeling disconnected from your childhood self. The record questions if there is value in re-discovering this inner child, or if we’re better off eschewing the trappings of nostalgia and living for our current reality instead. Since their debut Ep, 2018’s “Oh Dear”, a collection of scrappy indie-punk songs from the original four piece lineup, the band has doubled in size (and is still growing!). Countless numbers of new instruments have been added to the mix, including: vibraphone, toy piano, violin, flute and saxophone.

The Western Massachusetts trio, comprised of my good buddies from Ampere Meghan Minior and Will Killingsworth, as well as CaliforniaX’s Cole Lanier, have grown and intensified their sound dramatically since the release of their 2013 demo tape, and it truly shows on these recordings.
