[engl] Formed on the West Coast in 1993, Gehenna quickly became a name synonymous with violence, hatred and fear. Gehenna have been independent & will always stay independent. The music of Gehenna is the sound of the unending battles of life and death. Negative Hardcore was recorded in the smoke filled caverns of The Crampton Crystal Compound in the first days of July 2015 and mastered in 2021 by Dan Lowndes. It was engineered by Robert Orr overseen by Jimmy Short and directed by the watchful eyes, attentive ears and controlling hands of Drugs and Alcohol.

[engl] Pulverizing grindcore meets raging powerviolence perfection. Need we say more? “Horrible Mess” collects everything Hatred Surge recorded between 2005 and 2007. This is the first time these tracks have been available on vinyl since they were originally released.

[engl] Originally released in an edition of 5 or 6 copies on CD-R to give to friends, these 5 songs started a two decade reign of grinding powerviolence rule over Texas and the world at large that is in part responsible for the resurgence of the genre in the early 2000s. An important time for a lot of our generation. Iron Lung has a special affinity for Alex Hughes and this demo was the genesis. Genius level shit. [engl] After a slew of impossible to find tapes and an excellent EP from 2018, the force at work behind HOLOGRAM finally emerges from the shadowy basements of DC with a primo LP full of wild ferocity that shatters all expectations. 9 tracks of reclusive enigmatic hardcore punk that span a lifetime... if your life was only 16 minutes long that is. Strap on your headphones and immerse yourself in the sound of melted reality.

[engl] What started out as an exciting career kick off back in 2019, with the “Fat Skeleton” EP on Iron Lung Records, HOMELESS CADAVER continued to write with the intention of making more records and finally playing a show but the 2020 police had alternate plans for the band. We don’t need to get into the details on that but they’re out now and picking up where they left off. Before the break they had recorded most of these four songs intended for a release on a Southern Californian label (details also withheld here, NDA blah blah blah) but the label didn’t have the patience to deal with the mess so HC was dropped and the world moved on. Well kinda, it was early 2020, so I guess you could say the world moved… in. Anyway, the band finished the songs late last year and sent them to us so here we are, offering stripped down, juvenile thug synth KBD inspired garage stains about hustling, dating and excessive pleasures. Speaking of excessive, at one point during the “Champale Wishes and Cadaviar Dreams” (title of the century if you ask me! -Jensen) completion phase the band did up some deluxe horn and string arrangements to accompany the EP. And then laughed really really hard when they threw them directly in the trash because “that shit sucks” and “what are we Juliards?”. They certainly have a way with words…

[engl] Hailing from the southern-most state of Chiapas, HURAÑA seems to have appeared overnight with a fully realized vision of wonderfully off center scrappy punk with echoed vocals, punchy drums and richly layered guitar work in the vein of moodier DEAD KENNEDYS songs, without all the silliness. There is a healthy dose of irrepressible hardcore power on here too. We get the feeling there isn't a whole lot of punk music coming out of this region of Mexico but HURAÑA could very well be the spark to ignite an exciting new scene. The certainly have the power, quality and message. Seven mindstickers altogether including a cover of the VULPESS' hit "Me Gusta Ser Una Zorra" which will only be available on the vinyl version of the EP. [engl] Holy shit!! Ignorance is a complete hardcore energy explosion influenced by bands like Confuse, Kriegshög, Lebenden Toten and Gauze. Like the aforementioned groups, they a heft and a complexity that urges you to stretch your modes beyond simple volume control. You must feel every twitch and contraction in your body while you envelop yourself in a sound that pushes the needle right into the red and plants it like a conqueror’s flag, claiming your zone as their own. You can rest easy, you live in Helsinki now and it’s beautiful.

[engl] "The Fall Down" is the most recent offering from the full fledged wrecking crew better known as Innumerable Forms and finds the band at its most miserable stage yet. On this EP they've distilled an already too grueling reality down to the most fundamental expressions of pain and struggle. The sound of life draining depression complimented with blast flurries of raging disgust - the two best stages of grief. Innumerable Forms is death doom at its finest.

[engl] What more can be said about "World Extermination" that hasn't already been said? In our opinion it is one of the top five grindcore albums of all time. It's distinct, catchy, brutal, unpredictable, relentless, mechanically tight, razor sharp and that artwork is iconic as hell. A perfect album in every way. This is an official reissue, lovingly recreated with the best available materials to be as close to the original release specifications as possible. This version improves on the original in that it comes with more legible insert art, a heavier jacket and a much, much bigger poster. [engl] In today's music landscape its so easy to intellectualize "noise" since there isn't much for the average listener to grab on to. You are made to feel stupid if you don't get all the nonsensical bleeps and scrapes that every mediocre can swilling table stander can belch out. And then there are the reasons that noise music, yes I'll call it music because that's what the fuck it is, took hold in the first place, the real standouts, the people and bands that have made something wholly original and visceral and against conformity that you must take notice. Intensive Care falls firmly in that realm. Coming from roots within the hardcore, metal and powerviolence scenes these cage rattlers employ a myriad of instruments including but nit limited to drums, bass, vocals, tape loops, junk, electronics and more to craft a stunning array of beat driven harsh noise and metallic industrial sounds that you can - if you're not already destroying your surroundings - almost dance to.

[engl] "Crunchy grind is what comes to mind after listening to this 30 minute monster. I’ll be honest straight up. I’m a fan of selective grind and it so happens I love exactly this kind of grind, so imagine my drooling when I first heard this. Internal Rot embody the purest traits that quality grind contains – violence and freedom. ‘Mental Hygiene’ will grab you by the collar and throw you straight into a pit of wild boars. You will be shredded into pieces in the frenzy that ‘Mental Hygiene’ creates. Musically, it is infused with punk thrash elements and the guitar tone it carries is jagged edged similar to what Insect Warfare, Wormrot, Infanticide and Death Toll 80k employ; and that is saying “it slays”. So fans who have heard these bands before should know what to expect and be ready to lap it up. Right from the first track ‘Muciferous’, the album is a gateway to unbridled anger and consequently, freedom. The 30 odd minutes get over in a blink of an eye. After absolutely four murderous tracks, the band also manages to get some groove in via the aptly named ‘Sex Everywhere’! It obviously doesn’t make sense to distinguish between songs in a top grindcore album like this, but ‘Internal Rot’ insert some slight shifts in tempo; alternating between blazingly fast and slightly slower mosh ready parts. Albeit for a few seconds, this keeps the attention of the listener and gives some breathing room like midway through ‘Nose in Neck’ and ‘Hodgkinson St.’, in order to get ready for the next round of barrage that inevitably follows. The last and the longest track happens to be titled ‘Riddled with Rage’ and it pretty much sums up the sentiment of the whole album. [engl] "I may have a million ways of saying brutal, but "Life. Iron Lung. Death." has left me damn near speechless. Anyone who reads this zine (InMusicWeTrust.com) with any frequency knows that I live for IRON LUNG. In fact, I have been known to mark time by using IRON LUNG releases as reference points. Some of you may have thought me a bit daft. Some of you may have thought I "overdid" it in my praise of the band. Well, HA HA HA! Once you listen to this album, you'll see that I was RIGHT and you were WRONG! There simply aren't enough words of praise in the English language for me to adequately sing the praises of this album. Jon and Jensen have outdone themselves. Literally. Some of the moments on this are the fastest IRON LUNG have ever tackled and others are the most sludge filled. So many extreme bands seem to reach a cruising speed early in their careers and then just ride it out. IRON LUNG, by contrast, keeps pushing harder and faster each year. The band takes the momentum of the split LP with LANA DAGALES (the band's finest work until now) and cranks everything up one more notch. If you are one of the unlucky ones who have not yet learned to breathe with an IRON LUNG, then this is the perfect album to start with."

[engl] Slushat' comrades! White Glove Test is IRON LUNG's third studio album and follow-up to 2007's wildly successful Sexless//No Sex. What started out being the "slow industrial" concept album and pointedly left-field endeavor turned into a frantically paranoid and claustrophobic power-violence masterpiece complete with water tight stop/start compositions leading the way to crushing sludge bits intermingled with blistering hardcore pummel. It's what adults of the Cold War era would refer to as "your typical kill-your-mother-kill-your-father type stuff".

[engl] Do you ever sit in your room and just stare at the wall repeating a mantra to yourself? Because it’s all you can do to not totally wreck everything in sight? We do that too and most of the music that’s playing sounds like this PAPRIKA record. This is their mantra: “Destroying Shit… Ruining Lives…” To be repeated over and over while digesting this deliberately paced rampaging hardcore punk record. “Let’s Kill Punk”, with it’s massive sounding production, is all outward facing hostility projected larger than life onto you sorry public inhabitants. [engl] As a child my mother told me not to play with incendiaries but I just loved the way things looked as they exploded and burned. All that searing heat and crackling destruction made me thirst for more, for bigger, for total annihilation. That is how KLONNS feels too. "Crow" is four chunks of aural dynamite come together to form an EP chock full of explosive Japanese HC in the vein of the greats like BASTARD, LIP CREAM or DEATH SIDE. Listen loudly and dance until it's only ashes left...

[engl] “Heaven” is the culmination of many years of hard work and careful consideration of all the modern methods of outsider and extreme music being funneled into one comprehensive overview of Japan’s underground culture as KLONNS sees it. Since their 2016 inception, they have drawn inspiration not only from their allies in the punk/hardcore scene, but also their friends from other scenes such as techno, experimental music, industrial/noise, hip-hop, etc. A united creative community of forward thinking maniacs centered on pushing culture in a positive direction. The “NEW WAVE OF JAPANESE HARDCORE” has never sounded more necessary.

[engl] You may remember Kobra from a 5-song tape released on Milan's excellent Occult Punk Gang label back in 2018. Not to be confused with the other Italian band from the early 80's or the current rapper who also goes by Kobra. A pit of snakes to step carefully through indeed. "Confusione" comes after a couple of line up changes and sounds way different than the first tape. They channel the spirit of early anarcho-punk and Italian hardcore while still injecting it with their own unique personality. The album tells the story of young broke punks in Milan, always looking for a grift in the system, angry but also full of self-doubt, torn between activism and nihilism. 'Confusione' is 10 songs plus one interlude, 22+ minutes long.
